Crochet blankie

This was a present for a friend. She expressed an interest in learning to crochet - so I knew she would appreciate a crocheted blanket.

It was a lot of granny squares sewn together with a white border around until I ran out of wool - which coincidentally worked out as double bed sized.

It's got the crochet out of the system for now, back to the knitting.

Given up on me right? I've decided to try and get a bit more up to date with this... I have been very busy with the knitting and even a bit of crochet. From here on in (and on the other computer where the photos are) I am totally going to post on a regular basis! Totally.

Hiya

Been a busy couple of months. I've been to wonderwool and met the fellow pictured.

I've been knitting a lot, but not been very good at taking pictures and getting round to putting them on the computer... I'm on a sock thing at the minute.

I did some fancy schmancy lace ones with an afterthought heel, which were fun, but made me realise that what I want to knit is simple stuff that I can do while reading the paper and watching the telly without dropping stitches all over the shop. I'm now on a very plain pair of stockinette socks, but at least I don't have to worry where I am!

So I suck at blogging

What can I say? Sorry people. I have finished a pair of socks. And another sock - including learning the new skill of the turkish heel. I'll add picks when I'm 0n t'other computer.

Currently I'm knitting cupcakes for displaying on a cupcake stand.

so what's this in aid of then

I'm a relatively new knitter - tried and failed as a youngster, but a couple of years ago decided that I was going to learn. My other half found me a knitting group (the Bolton Knitting Noras), who were willing to teach me and have done a very good job - and created a knitting monster.

I want to use this blog to chronicle my knitting adventures. x
